Antonio Conte now Favorite to take over at Old Trafford
After Sunday's humiliating 5-0 loss at home to Liverpool, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's time at Manchester United may be up. The names Antonio Conte and Zinedine Zidane have been connected with the Old Trafford position.
Conte in, Ole out?
After Sunday's horrific 5-0 home defeat to Liverpool, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's job at Manchester United is in jeopardy more than ever. Antonio Conte, who left Inter Milan in the summer, is open to becoming United's next manager, according to the Mirror. Should Solskjaer leave Manchester United, the Italian, who won the Premier League with Chelsea in 2016-17, is "interested in succeeding" him. United must "show willingness to win the Champions League," according to Conte.
Conte has won league titles with Juventus, Chelsea, and Inter Milan, but his Champions League record as a manager is woeful, given that he is widely regarded as a top coach. The 52-year-old has only ever advanced to the quarter-final stage of a competition once, with Juventus in 2012-13.

Conte is well aware of his poor track record and intends to improve it in his next post. United are currently in disarray, although their squad is only deficient in a few areas. A good coach, like Conte, might easily turn this around, as he did at Chelsea. He would be an excellent addition to the Premier League club.
Will United go for Zinedine Zidane?
Another Candidate, Zinedine Zidane, the former manager of Real Madrid, has also been connected with the Manchester United position. According to Marca, the Frenchman is a "wanted coach across Europe," with United, Newcastle, Paris Saint-Germain, and the French national team all showing interest. If Ole Gunnar Solskjaer leaves his position at Old Trafford, Zidane is considered "one of the favored choices" to replace him.
Since leaving his employment at Real Madrid in the Spanish capital, the 49-year-old has been jobless for five months.

Conte Vs Zidane.
When people are asked, "Who should replace Solskjaer?" these two names tend to come up time and time again. Both of them are household names. Probably the best unemployed football managers in the world right now. It's understandable that they're tied to a job at Old Trafford.
Will Manchester United follow in the footsteps of Louis van Gaal and Jose Mourinho, who both failed miserably? If they do, Conte will very certainly be preferred over Zidane. The Italian has a track record of success at several teams and will help to shore up that shaky defense.
