The mid-season January transfer window is upon us again and as we’d expected, there are many rumours flying around about who is leaving and who is coming in. regardless of club’s position in the league table, Managers will be looking to bring in fresh blood to strengthen their squad and also fill in key positions lagging.

Already done deals include;

Samir Nasri (Free Agent to West Ham United)

The Frenchman was without a club since he left Turkish club Antalyaspor, he was given 18 month ban for using an intravenous drip treatment. Manuel Pellegrini has now brought the 31-year-old midfielder to the London Stadium in what is likely to be a year contract.

Christian Pulisic (Dortmund to Chelsea)

Chelsea has agreed a deal of £58m to bring in Christian Pulisic from Dortmund but the deal also saw him loaned back to Dortmund till the end of season.

Paul Pogba (Manchester United)

Linked with clubs like Barcelona, Juventus and Paris St-Germain, there are speculations that Pogba might be leaving Old Trafford this January. He was as at the time of joining Manchester United from Juventus in 2016, the world’s most expensive player. Gary Cahill (Chelsea)

The Chelsea defender and captain is definitely not in the plans of Maurizio Sarri after he has been told he is free to go. Cahill is presently the longest serving player at Stanford Bridge having joined from Bolton Wanderers in 2012.

Cahill is being linked with top clubs in the Premier League, Serie A and Championship, clubs like Arsenal, AC Milan, Aston Villa and Fulham has developed interest in the midfielder who has experience both in club and international level and also has healthy looking cabinets.

Danny Drinkwater (Chelsea)

Another Chelsea outcast who has not played a match this season (except in the community shield loss against Manchester City) is on the verge of leaving the club for greener pastures. The 28-year-old midfielder has being linked with his former boss Claudio Ranieri at Fulham with West Ham United also tracking him.

Jermain Defoe (Bournemouth)

The Striker is finding it hard to see more playing time at Bournemouth this season, playing fewer than 30 minutes in the Premier League. His goal scoring records (7th in the all-time top Premier League Scorers list with 162 goals) has earn him interest to clubs like Crystal Palace, Wigan, Nottingham Forest and Sheffield United.

Brahim Diaz (Manchester City)

The Manchester City Midfielder is becoming unsatisfied with his limited first-team opportunities. The youngster has a bright future ahead with La Liga giant Real Madrid agreeing a deal of £13.6m with the Manchester City and the player himself to receive £60,000 a week.

Dominic Solanke (Liverpool)

The England striker is yet to impress Jurgen Klopp this season which has led to the exclusion in Liverpool’s first team even though has won an appearance in English squad. The likes of Crystal Palace, Huddersfield and Brighton are among the many Premier League clubs who are interested in a loan move for the youngster.

Oumar Niasse (Everton)

 

The striker was a bit consistent last season for Everton netting eight goal in the Premier League but may have dropped form this season with only four substitute appearance. The Senegalese is on Cardiff and Huddersfield radar which they believe would provide the strong forward they are seeking.
